Hex Castle Nut
Castle nuts are used in a variety of applications, from rotary to bearings and bushings to trucks and off-road vehicles. The top of a castle nut is rounded to accommodate the legs of a cotter pin, and because these nuts are a tad taller, you get added strength and resistance to rounding of hex corners. Big Bolts’ hex castle nuts start at 1” diameter and go all the way to 2”. We stock them in strength levels of grades 2 and 5, and have plenty of finishes as well, like zinc yellow and zinc clear.
